  • I remember going to Warriors many many years ago and being overwhelmed by the sheer amount of destruction one person could cause with their wares. Every weapon imaginable hung from the walls or was tucked away in a case. You want throwing daggers or blow darts? Here ya go. How about some nunchaku and shuriken? Will ten be enough? It was crazy. Imagine my surprise when I went in today looking for an incredibly simple pair of wooden sticks. One of the three clerks looked at me like I was purple, then gleefully yelled, "Screama!" mispronouncing a word she'd never heard and making fun of me at the same time. the second kept his mouth shut for fear of saying something equally stupid and the manager (I'm guessing) took a minute and hesitated an, "Uhhh, yeah. Yeah over here." We pushed our way through about twenty heavy bags to a small pile of "other" martial arts supplies. They wanted $50 for a pair of bamboo sticks. You can buy the exact same pair online for $12 with free shipping. Warriors is still great if you are looking for a place that sells boxing or kick boxing equipment and training supplies. If you want anything else you're better off heading to CKT Sports Inc. down the street or any of a million shops online. What happened to you Warriors? You used to be cool man. You've changed.
