| - In terms of boutique fitness classes I didn't like this place as much as other ones (F45, Factory).
The Actual Class:
I liked the idea of their class structure, where you spend approximately half of it on cardio and the other half on strength. They alternate between these two throughout to continue switching things up.
When you sign up you're assigned to a treadmill and a workout station and these are what you'll be sticking to throughout the class. What's special about their treadmills is that you don't have to press "up" or "down" to change the speed like you normally would, you can just punch the "10" (mph) and it will quickly bring you up into a sprint.
Throughout the cardio blocks the instructor will give you ranges of what you should be doing: jogging, running, or sprinting. Later on you might switch up the incline %.
On strength we worked with barbells and resistance bands. I didn't really like these exercises as much as I found they were more traditional weight exercises you would do at the gym that isolate a single muscle group - barbell curls, lunges, planks.
The studio itself has soulcycle vibes, with its loud music and dim lighting.
Price:
The classes are pretty expensive at $32 + tax a class.
Facilities:
They do however, have really nice luxe facilities. The change room is extremely spacious and has its own locks attached. There are marble counters along with a variety of things such as qtips, hair elastics and deodorant. They also have fairly high end hair appliances (GHD straightener and hair dryers).
Downstairs on the first floor (gym is on the second), there is a smoothie bar - they taste amazing but come at a bit of a price tag at $9+.
Overall, I'd give the workout a 3/5 but I think they put in so much effort at pampering you with it's nice facilities that it deserves the added star.
