I've been here twice and the experiences were completely different from each other. I usually look for non-chain restaurants and Plaza Azteca is one of the few non-chain options in the Robinson area. The first time, I stopped in on a Saturday night after a day of shopping and it was a great experience. The restaurant was packed, service was good, and my pastor tacos were delicious. My second time, I stopped in during Sunday lunch. This time, the service was oh so slow, despite having a nearly empty dining room. Our waiter was miserable. However, my steak fajitas were pretty good.
My reason for a four star rating is mostly for the decent food. For all other aspects, a three star rating would be more accurate based on my experiences. For it being one of the few non-chain restaurants in the area, I will most likely visit again.
