| - I am not too fond of this Cineplex - mainly because I find the main entrance area so cramped and randomly positioned in a shopping area that it takes the charm away from the traditional Cinema setting. By that I mean, walking into a large open space filled with excited groups of friends & families waiting around, where you can smell the popcorn and see all the snack counters with large posters of the latest releases hanging on the walls and actual ticket booths with real people to buy your film tickets from. This location doesn't have any of that. They only have one small counter as the rest of the space has been filled by self-service machines. Having the Dix30 VIP Cineplex as our closest location, I guess I have been spoilt for choice and end up comparing the rest. Unfortunately, the majority of the films at the Dix30 location are dubbed in French which for me, ruins the quality of the film and hence, forced to go downtown.
There is a lot of choice when it comes to food, however it can get a little pricey. For latest releases, the screens are great and do the job perfectly. The seats however are terrible - the majority of them being ripped / have stains and the back support being so loose, I kept feeling as if I would fall backwards. Definitely not comfortable.
If I had the choice, I would not come to this location - very poorly maintained and overall, not a cinematic experience!
