  • Crooks, Cheats and Liars! I've been going to this location for some time and have spent well of $2000 dollars in repairs and tires. My Daughter went to this location for an oil/filter change and opted for a full synthetic oil change which with labor cost $71.98 She had the work done on a Thursday afternoon and I was shocked of what she told me on Friday morning. One of her co-workers is a good friend and certified mechanic and just to make sure the oil filter was actually changed, he marked the filter with a sharpie pen in the shape of a star. Sure enough, the mark was still there so the oil filter had not been changed! I also decided to check the oil in her vehicle and when I pulled out the dipstick, two things were immediate. First, the oil was over-filled past the hash marks and in fact past the indents on the dipstick. Over filling the oil in the engine causes oil-foaming and increased pressure. Second, the oil was quite dirty and didn't look like it had been changed at all! I do my own oil changes on my vehicle with the same full synthetic oil and when I get done, it's tough to see where the oil is on the dipstick because it's so clean, even a day afterwards. I went with my Daughter back to Big-O to discuss the matter with the manager, Richard. Upon entering the facility I asked the person behind the register if the manager Richard was there and he said yes about the same time Richard said from an adjoining office (I couldn't see him) said "Yes, I'm here, can I help you?". Speaking from the register I told Richard I needed to see him outside and he politely asked me to wait momentarily. As we walked to my Daughters car, we discussed what happened and he told me it was a simply oversight that the filter wasn't changed. Richard was very courteous and apologetic as I discussed how could this have happened when a facility like this should exude honesty and trust especially with the monies paid to have the job done properly. He did mention they were busy that day and again said it was an oversight. You will have to forgive me in saying, "An oversight?!" That's like buying four new tires and forgetting to install the two front tires....a critical 50% of 'a job done is a job done well'. When I tried to do the oil change on the vehicle, I discovered the oil drain plug threads were stripped and there was NO WAY it could come off at all. This was the second time my daughter went to them. This means they never changed the oil! They did refund her money and we went right to Firestone on S. Ft. Apache and Flamingo and $600 dollars later, she had a new oil pan with plug. This Firestone location has always done a stellar job. This makes me think what else did they rip me off for? DON'T GO TO THIS BIG-O! THEY ARE CROOKS, CHEATS AND LIARS!
