  • Formerly Gold's Gym, EOS Fitness seems to have their stuff together. I honestly don't feel much change from former management other than the name but there are a number of reasons why I have been a member of Gold's/EOS for the past 3 years now: 1. Location: in the heart of Downtown Phoenix just a convenient 15 minute drive from where I live in South Phoenix. In the ever popular Cityscape plaza with a plethora of businesses to shop/eat at surrounding the gym, even healthy food choices such as Grabba Green, The Corner, and Breakfast Club. 2. Price. Though not the $9.95/month advertised for any other EOS fitness, I was offered the best rate for the platinum membership at this location which includes guest privileges, parking validation, towel service, classes, tanning, and access to any EOS gym in Arizona - less than $25/month. I didn't pay any initiation fees or any of that first and last month payment crap. Yes, there is a $40 annual free on the anniversary of your membership but when I calculate it, it still comes out to less than memberships at other leading fitness clubs. 3. Classes. I am a former body pump regular and consistent spin cycle class attendee and they are awesome. I think other members will agree that Phil's classes are amazing. He is motivating and his taste in music is on point. 4. People: from the very first member services guy who signed me up with Golds, staff here has always treated me well. Even the new EOS staff. Also, members of this location are all classy and respectful and that is hard to find when choosing gyms. It pays to workout in the metro downtown area among working professionals, many of those who work in the high-rise building and come to work out during their lunch break. Inspiring. 5. Cardio Cinema. A feature I've never seen in any other gym. Awesome. Cons are it is not a very large gym and does not have ample machines and free weights with its growing popularity, and can get crowded at peak times. Always remember to update your billing info if the card you use to pay your membership is cancelled or expired because you will get fees for payments not going through. However, if you call customer service and ask them to waive the fee for your first offense, they will do so. You can't go wrong with a membership here in my opinion if you live in the area.
