  • I have been taking my older daughter in to Mesa pediatrics since she was born so we have been with the practice for 7 years now. In general, we have been happy with its service. I agree with another reviewer's comment about dr. Valenzuela; she is fantastic - always warm and welcoming, patient and genuinely care about your children. However, I just took my younger daughter in today for her 2 year check up and met with Dr. Nicole Kent. Our positive experience with the practice was pretty much ruined. Dr Kent was too good to be a children's doctor. She is too professional but not nearly enough warmth. You thought you might be in a law firm talking about matters unattached, non-personable to you rather than talking about your precious children. She makes me feel like I was there to waste her time and she has something much better to do. The whole entire check up with her was less than 10 minutes but by the time she rushed out the exam room without saying goodbye, I thought we had taken too much of her time. I feel bad giving Mesa Pediatrics 3 stars because we really did enjoy the past 7 years, especially the past 2 years with Dr. Valenzuela. I will still recommend the practice but unless they have some stuff change, I would definitely not recommend Dr. Kent for your children. If she is this impatient during a 10 minute well check up, imagine what she ll be like when your children is sick and you are very concerned and some questions to ask? She is too busy for you and your children. You and your children are way too important to be ignored and dismissed by her.
