I spent the last week here as a resident due to my condo being flooded and unable to stay with family over Christmas due to visiting relatives. I guess Hotel Blackfoot provides a good rate as my insurance company had no qualms about putting me up here for 6 nights.
The rooms are nicer than average. They renovated them a little over a year ago so everything is up to date and in good repair. One of the bonuses I first noticed about the room was that there is an electric kettle in the room. As a tea drinker its nice to be able to get a good cup of tea in my room without having to heat water through the coffee maker like most hotels have you do, making your tea have a slight hint of coffee.
The cleaning staff that I ran into a couple of times as I was leaving my room were VERY friendly, saying hello and wishing me a good day.
On Christmas day the hotel offered a complementary breakfast plate to all guests which I took advantage of. There was a little confusion the night before as the front desk staff seemed to be new and didn't really know what the deal was with breakfast and just took a note that I was interested in getting breakfast the next morning. About 10 minutes before the slotted time for my meal to arrive someone from the front desk called to clear things up and had my delicious eggs Benedict at my door about 20 minutes later. They were really good. So good I had them again a couple days later.
Great job to all of the staff.
