I took my 77 year old mother to the ticket counter in her wheel chair to get checked in. After standing in line for 15 min., we where waived over to an agent. I handed him mom's itinerary and confirmation print out. He plugged in some info into their computer, hands me back the paper work and says "she's 5 min. passed the 45 min. cut off, she can't fly." I was blown away and said "what ? are you kidding me?" He said " NO, she can't fly, she needed to be here earlier" I said " We got here 1 hour before take off and stood in 2 lines for a total of 20 min."
He responded" She can't fly, she will have to re-book" I wanted to fly across the counter and smash his face in! He was rude and cocky. Another employee walked us down to re-ticket counter, the women behind the counter was a snotty as well. She suggested we go stand by on the next flight for $225.00 more, then before finishing her sentence said "oops that last ticket was sold, we don't have any stand by tickets available" What a bunch of MORONS!!!
We left the airport and my mother did not go to Florida because of what happened. I bet if she wore a burka and threw a fit they would have let her on, fearing a discrimination suit.
Will NEVER use this carrier again!!!!!!
