| rev:text | This is my first time on Yelp. I've never reviewed anything. But my experience here prompted this decision. I made an appointment for March 27th to have a hard gel overlay applied to my nails. During the process, the drill slipped taking off the side of my natural nail, leaving it an odd shape and nothing was done to fix this; nothing was used to dehydrate my nails before application of the gel; there was no filing done in between the first and second application of layers to my nails to ensure they were even looking and had no ridges; after the second layer, there was no filing done or UV topcoat put on, leaving my nails with a strange rubber cement-like surface to them, as opposed to the hard surface a UV topcoat would have done. The gel itself was also applied over my cuticles, the result being that 3 days later my nails started to lift and break. I went back into the location on April 1st to make them aware of the problem. Their solutions were: I could see the girl who screwed them up in the first place for a redo -- no thanks -- or I could wait until April 4th for the other girl there that does gels, as this was the earliest appointment available. Unacceptable, as anyone that knows anything about artificial nails, knows that if they are lifting you leave yourself vulnerable to bacteria and infection. Not to mention I shouldn't have to wait THREE days to have this addressed when my nails look like total shit! I left my name and phone number for the owner to contact me in order to get a refund, and have yet to hear anything back. I also went elsewhere to get a new set put on right after I left, and thank goodness the young lady who did them did an amazing job. As a business owner myself, this is BAD BUSINESS. Problems should be addressed as soon as possible, not wait for someone to leave a bad review about their experience. I wouldn't even give Teres the one star that I did, but it was my only option. Terrible experience. |
