| - I got a $50 iPic gift card from a client 2 years ago and my wife and I just decided to use it yesterday. The drive is a long one for us coming from South Chandler and that's the only drawback for us...the 30+ minute drive. Other than that, everything was excellent. I was a little nervous after reading some of the negative reviews on Yelp and we lowered our expectations. We splurged on the luxury reclining seats and so glad we did. Complimentary valet service meant we could drive right up to the curb. The inside was gorgeous and everyone was very friendly and helpful. This is like no other theater I've ever been to. I like the reclining seats at AMC Centerpoint, but this was 10 steps beyond that. Everything from start to finish was amazing. We got 2 reclining seats toward the front of the back section and loved the pillows and blankets...super posh. Our server came right up and told us what to expect and took our appetizer order, very nice guy - smiling, helpful and quick. At that moment I realized the bad reviews on Yelp had been way off and I relaxed. We kind of went all-out and ordered a full meal from appetizer to dessert and we're glad we did. What an experience. Our server really was incredible. Brought out our drinks right away and during the previews we each got a bag of popcorn. Before the previews were over he brought us our appetizers - pretzel bites with dipping sauce. My wife chose and I was doubtful, but wow, they were amazing. 6 pretzel bites (more like big sticks than bites) so 3 for each of us and a bacon/cheese sauce my wife loved and an apple mustard sauce that was incredible. Yelp reviews complained about the tilting tables and the uncomfortable seats...not so. Tables were perfect and seats were ultra comfortable. We are both tall and all we had to do was tuck our feet under the bar when reclining...no problem. The food all came out in perfect intervals, we didn't feel rushed. It seemed like our server knew exactly when we were done and removed the plates, all in the dark. Our meals were amazing. My wife got the margherita pizza and loved it. I got the mahi mahi fish tacos which I thought were amazing. They were wrapped up so there was no spillage. The way the food was presented and served was perfect for reclining back eating. We got an order of sweet potato fries to share and I'm not kidding when I say they were the best I've ever had. They stayed crunchy all the way through and had a side of BBQ dipping sauce. Never would have thought of that, I prefer ranch, but I was pleasantly surprised. We were so full but about 3/4 of the way through the movie, he brought us our dessert - a red velvet pudding to share - with 2 spoons. Seriously, that was huge, some restaurants give you a hard time if you want to share and you have to ask for 2 spoons. This dessert was freeking huge. No way one of us could have eaten it alone. And holy moly it was tasty. Again, my wife picked it and I had my doubts. Again, I was proven wrong. It was warm and delicious. We ate the whole thing. I didn't drink all of my Coke but my wife drank all of her Diet Coke and our server refilled it quickly. Not that it really matters, but we saw Tomorowland and thought it was a great movie. My wife cuddled with the blanket and pillow and we held hand anytime we weren't eating. We left a generous tip and didn't mind that the total bill was over $100 just for the 2 of us. Of course we won't be doing this every month but I think we just found an annual tradition. If there was one thing that was not perfect, it was where my wife was sitting, when reclined, the railing (she had the aisle seat) was in the corner of her eyeline so it blocked the corner of the movie screen. Not a huge deal and not worth taking off a star. But next time I will order earlier and get 2 seats in the middle. TIPS: Buy tickets online and buy early to get a better seat choice. Splurge for luxury recliner seats. Sign up for iPic's free loyalty program and get $2 off seats. Get there a half hour early to have time to look at menu and order while it's light. Order an entire meal for the full experience. It's costly, but it's worth it. Thanks iPic!
