  • Ok So I am partially happy and not so happy about my haircut. Another reason I rarely go in and get it cut. My stylist was very nice and knowledgeable for the most part and cut it very well except towards the end of the partial blow dry I got I felt like I was being rushed out of there as they closed at 8pm. So she didn't fully blow it which was fine but she didn't even attempt to style it, which is another problem for curly haired people when they go get a cut. Most people do not know how to style it or won't even attempt to style it so we end up walking out half wet dog look. Earlier she had said once it was partially dry we would look at the cut again and do more shaping or cutting if needed. That never happened. I love the volume just not happy on one side and that I didn't get the same treatment as people with wavy/straighter hair do when they walk out looking like a million bucks with a great new hairdo. But if you are going to call yourself a deva cut specialist then not only do you need to know how to cut curly hair but it should be a requirement that you know how to style it after so that we have the same treatment as others do that don't have curly hair. I am paying full price like everyone else so if I am going to walk out not being styled then I want to pay half the price!!!! She did offer for me to come back if I didn't like something but I know myself and I shouldn't have to do that. I should have been able to have it done right then and there like she said earlier. Like I said she was a very nice person and for the most part did a good job. Just no follow through like she should have. To all my haircut specialists out there I recommend you learn how to style all types of curly hair or make special price adjustments for walking out with partially wet hair and not being styled. It is not fair and this is the reason I rarely go get my hair done. Not to say I haven't had cuts or stylists in the past who weren't great but for the most part it is sad that we curly haired people suffer and resort to the home haircuts as I do. Back to that for me I suppose and buns.
