| - In the past when I come to Vegas, Wicked Spoon would be my go-to buffet spot on The Strip. Now on my recent visits it has lost some of its bling inside the Cosmopolitan.
Most of the time we would come in for brunch and I believe the cost per person is $45. You do get a decent selection of food from American, Italian, and Asian, including fruits, salads and pastries. Just to name my hand picked favorites are fresh omelettes made on a mini skillet, the tasty fried chicken wings in a mini frying basket, and for dessert the hand scooped sorbets.
What's lost some of its luster is the quality. The bbq meats aren't as tasty, the pizzas are almost comparable to a low-budgeted Asian buffet slices. The fried rice is bland. This is some of their low points during breakfast and brunch. Overall, the selection of stuff to eat is there, but there's just not enough yumminess to satisfy the taste buds. However, when it goes into dinner time, the buffet gets slightly better in offering seafood choices, obviously with a higher price of admission.
Gone are the days when I use to get excited and I would playfully say "Wicked, Wicked, Wicked". The food may not be the same on how I experienced it long time ago, but I do like how Wicked Spoon maintains its classiness above average buffets.
