| - Oh man. I was crazy excited walking into this place.
So far, I have been shopping at all the typical supermarkets here: Albertson's, Smith's, Vons blah blah. But this place is different. I reminds me of the local co-op store I used to shop at in Duluth, MN. Except smaller. Much smaller.
This place is tiny. But what it lacks in size, it makes up for in freshness and deals. I walked down the fresh fish and meat isle, and there was this pack of chicken with a cilantro/mesquite/lime marinate that caught my eye. I took it home, threw it in the oven, and BAM! Instant dinner. So good, and so easy.
They had a buy one, get one free deal on the sparkling apple cider and grape juices too. Really good deal (I think I paid $2.75 for both). They also have coupons and a rewards program, in order to help you save even more money.
They don't have live, human checkout people working here. It's like the "express lanes" at other stores where you ring up your own stuff. But they did have a few helpful employees walking around. Considering this was my first visit, I was not familiar with this place's system at all and kept ringing my sh*t up wrong. I think I had to ask the guy to help me like, four times. But he was never rude or short with me, even though he was running around helping eight other jackasses like me trying to ring up their stuff.
You don't want to come here and buy things like cough drops, soda or cleaning supplies. Those type of things are expensive here, unless of course they are running a special of some sort.
I highly recommend this place. They may not have everything you need, but it's worth the stop over.
