I revisited Japango after two years, and the space and menu has not changed much. The tables are small, and you will be sitting less half a meter away from the next table.
While the deluxe nigiri sushi had a good assortment of fish, the tuna sashimi had specks of blood which the waitress said "is perfectly fine". This is an example of poor quality. Moreover, the fish was not as fresh as other sushi restaurants in Toronto. That being said, I did enjoy the grated wasabi that they serve.
Nonetheless, I will not be coming back to Japango for a while again as quality cannot be compromised.
