I've had both the best haircut I've ever had at Sora, and the worst. There's a high turn over of staff, mostly working holiday kids from Japan and Korea so it's a real mixed bag of skill levels. I had a really great cut from Sora once, but that stylist is no longer there. That's the problem with salons like this - even if you find a great stylist, they won't be around long. My last visit I got assigned to a guy who seemed to have no experience cutting hair. The ends looked like they were cut with kitchen scissors - rough, uneven, no layering. I seriously could have done a better job on my own. He spent a lot more time styling my hair than on the cut itself, presumably to hide the bad job he did. I'm not sure if he's still there or not, but for me the risk is too high. I'd rather go somewhere where the staff will stick around so you can build a relationship with someone you like and be able to rely on them to give you a great cut every time.
