| - I've had Sno Tiger bookmarked for quite some time now after seeing that they offer shaved snow (snow fluff) as one of their dessert options. I remember the first time I tried this Taiwanese treat back home in Hawai'i, wondering if it was more like shave ice or more like a snow cone. Low and behold, it is neither of the two.
Sno Tiger makes a good version of Snow Fluff. It's fluffy, light, and thin, almost resembling a chiffon ribbon.
My boyfriend and I shared a large Strawberry Cheesecake Snow Fluff from the House Specialty menu. The snow itself tasted just like a Strawberry Shortcake ice cream bar. I was skeptical of the graham cracker crumbles, but it worked out well, especially with the condensed milk. Good flavor and great presentation!
My sister ordered a taro Snow Fluff, which I was able to try. Unlike the Strawberry Cheesecake Snow Fluff, the taro was creamy and very rich. The texture was also different, as if there were real pieces of taro in the snow.
Sno Tiger is definitely pricier than other Asian inspired dessert shops in the valley. 75ยข per syrup/topping can add up really quick.
On the bright side, customer service was friendly and the shop is clean and decorated nicely. It's a cool spot to come and hang out with friends, although it was a complete ghost town when we stopped by. There's a ton of board games to use and lots of table space!
