| - I found Hanna through Groupon as I frantically tried to find someone to squeeze me in for lash extensions same day. I was heading to a wedding in LA the next day and had a split realization I didn't want to deal with false lashes at an outdoor wedding with open bar (smartest decision fyi)
Hanna was very accommodating and scheduled me in right away! This was my first eyelash extension appt EVER and didn't know what to expect. The entire process took an hour and a half, yet it wasn't the most comfortable. Maybe my bottom lashes weren't taped down properly, but my eyes felt unrelaxed and twitchy the entire time. I let Hanna know at first, in which she repositioned the tape and carried on, yet my eyes remained twitchy. Her area was clean and she worked very quickly and gently.
I docked stars off because she asked if I had photos or examples of lashes I wanted before beginning - after showing her photos (I wanted a more natural/criss-cross style lashes), the end result looked nothing like it. I mean, my lashes looked great! But a bit too voluminous, dramatic, and evidently fake. What she gave me is probably the only style she offers, so I don't think she should ask what you're looking for if she can't honor it.
Also, after mentioning multiple times it was my first time getting lashes, I wasn't provided with any upkeep instruction in maintaining the lashes. No cleaning tools or directions, or even how long I should return for a fill. Not even the price of a fill.
Lastly, Hanna told me when I got there that she doesn't accept credit cards, so I would need to go to the 7/11 next door to withdraw money for payment. I wish she had told me beforehand in our text exchange OR post it on her website so I would have money ready for her. I was in a rush to do errands after our appt, so it inconvenienced me to do that. I had issues with the ATM machine, so I asked Hanna if I could just purchase the Groupon (she initially told me not to because she would honor the price) - but she pulls out her phone and swipes my credit card -_- Odd since she said she had no way of accepting credit...
Once again, Hanna is a great lash artist, but I don't feel I had the most exceptional service as a first timer. Since I wasn't provided instructions for care, 50% of my lashes have fallen out before the 1.5 week mark, which I have learned is fairly early (should have lasted by 3 weeks).
