I don't have a time machine (or a DeLorean for that matter), so I go here when I need some nostalgia. But if you didn't just get that reference, you probably won't get as much out of Mrs. Huizenga as I do.
Sure, it sells cool vintage clothes and products by local artists, chefs, designers, etc. but what I like are its vintage toys. When I visit, I'm swept back in time when I see a set of tinker toys (my brother never shared) or a view-finder (I had the Gremlins!) or even just the checkerboard floor of rusty-orange and black (I played a lot of checkers when I was a kid).
Oh, and buttons. Any store that sells buttons gets at least 3 stars.
