Every few months I convince myself that I should update my wardrobe and that Plato's Closet would be a great place to find clothes I wouldn't normally consider. It will expand my horizons, and a bargain prices! Alas, it never has. My image of trendy hipsters exchanging exciting clothing just doesn't match up with the reality of this dingy store. The floor space is cramped, and the dressing rooms tiny. I suppose I could handle a shattered ideal if I ever found good clothes here, but they never meet my expectations. I don't want forty pairs of madras shorts.
Yet somehow I find myself giving this place 3 stars. Maybe my idealized vision hasn't yet been brutalized into utter submission. A few more fruitless journeys ought to do the trick.
