I've just had one of the best customer service experiences I've had in years - and I'm old enough to remember what excellent customer service looks like. Can't say enough about the pleasant and truly proactive customer service I received from Erik, the manager at Speedy. I had taken my 27-year-old BMW in to have the windshield replaced because there were several cracks on the driver's side. It was to have been a straightforward job, but when they took off the old glass, they discovered that the metal beneath was so rusted (it had a hole!) that they could not install the new glass. As panic set in (mine only), Erik sent me the photos immediately so that I could show my autobody shop, but it turned out that they were too backlogged to take me for at least a few days. In the meantime, w/o my asking, Erik had contacted Rob at Eurotech, an autobody outfit directly across the street (he would drive the car over) and advised me that they could do the work that day. Turns out they were also stand-up guys who did great work at a very reasonable price. The windshield is now in and looking good - and got tested almost immediately after I left in a major downpour. I know the auto repair sector often gets a bad rap - especially among women - but these guys put the lie to that. Thank you both so much!
