We registered at BevMo so we could take advantage of their 5 cent sales. We found some good wines on this sale with the help of a pleasant gentleman who is knowledgeable about wine. We visited the store three times. On the last trip we bought a wine that we did not like at all. I noticed on our receipt that it states: "If you are not completely satisfied with your 5 cent wine purchse, just bring back the wine with your receipt and we will refund the purchase price." I called the store just to be sure I could return it and was told no problelm. I decided for the price of the wine I would return it. After arriving at the store, I told the cashier I wanted to return the wine he ran off to discuss it with someone. After a couple of minutes he returned with a manager in tow. The manager, in a not friendly voice, wanted to know, "who did I talk to on the phone about returning the wine?" Really? I then proceeded to show her my receipt with their return policy. She said that to get a refund I needed to bring back both bottles or she would not get a refund from the distributor. She also argued with me about the stated return policy indicating I had misinterpreted the policy. Huh? I said we drank most of the wine and I was only looking to get a fair refund (the total price of the wines divided in half). I was really feeling uncomfortable about this visit and was surprised they would treat a customer this way. Finally, after the manager said she would do it "this time" I got my refund and left the store. Before this incident, I was happy with the store, now this encounter has left me feeling like I do not want to do business with this company again.
