First time i've written a bad review for a company but if i can save one person from the experience i had, it's worth trying. The receptionist/owner/mom was extremely pleasant on the phone & it gave me a false sense of security. After waiting 2 hrs for the movers to arrive i was told they were behind because the customer ahead of me was a nightmare & they were sorry it was affecting me & it should only be another hour. "No problem" I said..."these things happen". Biggest mistake ever! I basically said I'm not important. 5 hours after the move was scheduled I was asked if it could be switched to the following day? NO! So I was told a 3 man crew would be over to move me within 90 min but they would be using a pick up truck instead of a box van. What I got was the owners son, his old truck, & a man that must've been at least 65. My 3 men changed to 1.5. I made the HUGE mistake of focusing on other things & not monitoring their work. I left blankets out for them in case they didn't have anything to cover my artwork & wall hangings. They said they had what they needed. I was so shocked to see them bring some of my pictures in under their arm all just laid on top of each other, nothing protective in between. Damaged! They were struggling getting my kitchen table out the door & I offered my tool set. They asked if it had to be taken apart to be brought in. I said no but they didn't struggle & you are so let's do it the easier way. He said if it came in in one piece, he was determined to get it out. He proceeded to carry my table by the top only. At that point I knew I was sent 2 people that had clearly never moved people's belongings because he had no knowledge & they were just items to him. A seasoned mover treats your things like they are ithe most expensive rreplaceable things on Earth. My chest of drawers was picked up by the top & the top came off. It has been in the family for 30 yrs so it is a sentimental piece. I was told by the son he would come back with his tools to repair it. We had a day scheduled but I got ill & asked to reschedule. When I called & text back I was told my number was blocked. Unbelievable! I called & left a message with the receptionist/mom/owner & have got no reply to my message or texts. What did I learn? You get what you pay for! If they are advertising a special that is HALF the price everyone else is....ask why! I've never even had a scratch on a move and this move damaged 6 things & broke 1!
