| - Great spot for fun with friends for family!
The big hook with Randolph's is that (for a $5 per person cover charge) you can play board games hand selected by the staff while you eat. The staff was incredibly warm and accommodating to our group of non-French speakers. The games they presented were quite fun; we had already played many of the games our "gamemasters" offered, but they were still able to surprise us with games that were completely new and most importantly, a blast to play.
The food was very good, although the menu was somewhat small. Their specialty cocktails had decent breadth and the three drinks I had were all creative and well made. Both food and drinks were reasonably priced, and with the lovely outdoor seating area, this is a great place to stay a while and enjoy some games.
It's a fantastic concept and one that our group really enjoyed; however, if you're not planing on gaming and are just looking for food and drink, there isn't a whole lot at Randolph's that makes it a "must try". The food, while quite good, isn't the best you can get in the area, and the atmosphere is definitely more chaotic than most places. While still a very good restaurant, how much mileage you get out of Randolph's will definitely depend on how much you enjoy the idea of playing games at the dinner table.
