  • SCOTT FISHER IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I yelped this location and read good reviews about him, so I made an appointment with him. I went in on 1/23/2016. I was so excited because my birthday is on 1/26 and wanted to look nice. And plus, I hadn't had my hair professionally done in about 2 years. I had been using Argan Oil color from Sally's (which I told him about). I also had showed him a picture of the color I wanted my hair to be. So, I get there and he begins to prepare the color as he makes conversation with a young lady sitting in the chair next to us (I believe she was waiting for her ride). When she left, I asked Scott if she was getting married (because she was wearing a veil) and he said yes. He said she wanted him to do her makeup with red and black colors. I said "oh, you do makeup too?" He said yes, but that THAT wasn't a good example of the work he does. I asked why and he basically went on about how ridiculous it was that she wanted black and red colored makeup for her wedding. First of all, if you consider yourself a great makeup artist, you will make that girl look gorgeous regardless of what color makeup she wants, AND you'd be proud of your work. So anyway, he goes on and continues to work on my hair. When he's almost done with it, he tells me that I already used up $30 worth of his product (which he wasn't expecting). I felt bad, so I immediately decided to give him a bigger tip if I liked how my hair turned out. I understand that the stylists there are independent contractors and have to pay for their space, as well as buy their own product. He ended up toning the base of my hair to an auburn color and putting in highlights. Not what I wanted but I love the way it looked. So I was okay and happy with it. He ended up going 30 minutes over our appointment and his next client was on time and waited. He half-**s'd my curls when he styled it, but I didn't say anything because I understood why he was in a hurry. He had quoted me $150 when I first spoke to him, but he ended up doing more than what he initially planned. He told me that I got a very good deal from him because he would normally charge $250 for this. I was very appreciative that he kept me at that price, so I did give him a little extra. I gave him a total of $190. I went home happy and pleased, even though what he did to my hair was not at all what I showed him. Ok now, here goes the MAIN reason why I'm giving him a bad rating. My mother in law happens to go to the same salon (to a different stylist). She went in today, 1/24/2016 (a day after me), and just so happens that Scott was washing his client's hair right next to her! She called me as soon as she got in her car, and what she told me hurt me, and made me a little upset. She said that he was having a conversation with his client while washing her hair about his stressful day yesterday because he worked a 14 and a half hour shift. He was telling her about his first client in the morning, who wanted her makeup done and extensions put it (the soon-to-be bride that I mentioned). He was complaining about her. So then he starts talking about ME. He said "And then my next client was a mess." He proceeded to tell her how black and grown out my roots were, HOW I'VE BEEN USING BOX COLOR FOR 2 YEARS FROM THE DOLLAR STORE, and "she made me run late for the rest of the day." Ok, here's my thing, I COMPLETELY understand wanting to vent about your stressful day of work. I believe everyone does that, with any job, BUT YOU DO NOT VENT, TALK BS, AND LIE TO CLIENTS ABOUT YOUR OTHER CLIENTS. That is just completely unprofessional. My mother in law then told me that he was giving his client directions to a place, and at some point, he said that there's a lot of pedestrians on Las Vegas Blvd and that he understands why that one lady ran over all those pedestrians that one night. WHATTTT???!!! People died that night. I was in shock that he would make such comment about a situation as severe as that. Shame on you, Scott. Please believe I am not returning in 2 months like you advised.
