| - I've never actually spent much quality time in David's Tea as a cafe, but have browsed their products *plenty*! I dropped in recently with a friend during the pre-holiday bustle - we had a look at their pre-packed tea leaf sets and the huge range of accessories and equipment. Some really, really lovely tea pots & mugs - but just a pinch out of my price range.
There were plenty of folks behind the counter to help when we got to wanting to look at teas - the huuuuuge wall of teas. The tins have colour-coded labels which distinguish between the types of leaves - green, white, black, rooibos, etc. My friend and I ran through quite a lot of types, sniffing and peering into tins, and generally being pretty picky and asking for quite a lot - but our helper was still very gracious and patient!
I ended up buying a couple of small sachets of tea - they did try to upsell me to a larger size - which, sure I get a free tin, but I don't really want to start off with the large size of a new tea. I also wish the tea prices were more obvious here - they're fairly standard prices, but I like to know these things as i'm browsing.
Overall, David's is a lovely store with great products and quite good quality teas (some great flavours too). I like that you get a little sample of whatever's their tea of the day and I would very much like to get back to try some more of their massive range of tea.
