| - Five very strong stars for the Discovery Children's Museum.
Absolutely amazing for the little ones and I know that I'll be taking my guy there for years to come. He had an absolute blast!
Not only are the facilities in great condition, but the cleanliness was really impressive. They are staffed very well at the DCM and everyone I came across was incredibly kind. From the pirate ship, to the water works, up to the grocery store, and drawing rooms everything was picked up and clean. Not an easy task when the kids are going bonkers in every room. I did find it interesting that in lieu of hand sanitizer machines they posted a note about having an ample supply of sinks with soap to clean your hands, should you choose. The blurb actually mentioned how that's the most effective way to prevent illness. Interesting, but they did have a lot of sinks I noticed and we used them a few times during our visit.
My little one loved the grocery area, sponsored by Smith's, where he got a shopping bag and loaded up with his favorite plastic fruits and empty snacks. He also had a blast in the water works area, and maybe got himself a little soaked (Parents - you may want to save this area on level one for last)
We spent two hours here and easily could have spent double. Their dining options are limited to vending machines, so pack snacks/lunch accordingly.
Big fan of DCM and really looking forward to taking my son back there again. They have something for everyone, including those who haven't mastered the art of walking - there's a section for crawlers. Legitimately something for all aged kids.
Pro tip - if you have Bank of America, the first weekend of every month they allow you to get in for free if you show your debit and/or credit card. You only have to pay for the kiddo, making it an inexpensive day for everyone.
