  • I wasn't feeling my best today and wanted something light and fresh for lunch. Took a drive around Ohio City in the hopes to find a place where I could grab something quickly. The Grocery is a small storefront located on Lorain Avenue. I ordered a Chicken Salad sub on a baguette and paid $7 which is pretty steep but wow, it was divine. The baguette was just as it should be fresh, crusty on the outside yet soft and almost buttery on the inside. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. This was definitely a sandwich I felt good about eating and it was just enough to fill me up. As for the store itself, the prices are pretty high but that's what you pay for quality, fresh and organic ingredients. I tried a smoothie of theirs in the past and again - fresh and delicious although pricey. There were two ladies working at the time I went today - one I recognize as the owner and the other who created my delicious meal. Both were friendly and I was in and out in no time. I would definitely be returning here for lighter fresher options!
