First time in. Nice atmosphere. No pushy salespeople. I like the selection and prices seem reasonable. Once you make your decision to buy, that's when things start to go off the tracks. I went back to the first person who greeted me and pointed to the couch I wanted to buy. He went to check inventory and returned with another salesperson and handed us off to her. So she wrote my info on a sales slip along with the stock number of the couch. She then escorted me to the cashier and hung around while the cashier did her thing. It's a very strange dynamic. Anyway, I bought a couple thousand dollars worth of stuff and asked what they could do on price? "We don't discount our prices." Ok, how about throwing the protection plan? "No. We don't do that either. The price is what the price is." Wow, for a furniture store where margins typically run around 70% you'd think they might throw a bone. Nope. Ok, next step. I provide my credit card and ask since my furniture won't be delivered for a week, when exactly will my card be charged? "Right now." Wow, that really rubs me the wrong way. You want to charge my card a day before delivery, no problem. Any time before that and I am very suspicious of their operation. Now it's delivery day. My delivery is scheduled between 12 & 6 pm. I got an updated window of 3 to 6. It's now 6:00 pm and there are still 3 deliveries to go before they come to my house. I got no phone call apologizing for the delay or providing an updated time. Nothing. They got their money. They just don't care about completing the deal. They missed their own time window!! I don't know who schedules deliveries but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that you can't go from Laveen to Apache Junction and back to Phoenix with 15 individual stops along the way and get it done within 9 hours. The least they can do is refund my delivery fee. After all, I played by their rules but Living Spaces doesn't honor their commitments.
