  • DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR to Pep Boys. Pep Boys are known as thieves and try to rip you off. I had a problem with A/C on my SUV and took it to Pep Boys (I don't know why I took my SUV to Pep Boys...). 1. Pep Boys recommended me that a whole set of A/C be replaced with new parts. The cost is $1500. 2. The A/C technical who checked my SUV wasn't available when I picked up my SUV. But they still insisted that I need to replace A/C with new parts. All of their technicians are not certified and have little knowledge on what they do. 3. I took my SUV to Japanese Car Services on Spring Mountain Road for a second opinion. No replacement on any part was necessary. It only cost me $70 against $1500. A/C is now running fine.
