| - Black Bear is decent yet disappointing at the same time. The concept is familiar, there are a lot of asian fusion-ish places opening up in the area, so there is tons of competition.
Most people come here ordering the fusion burgers. When we were seated, the waitress told us they were out of soft shell crab -- OH NO! Then 5 minutes later, the waitress came back and said they now had stock -- OH YES! Sweet, because you have to order the soft shell crab burger, right?
For starters, we had the melted cheesy corn which was OK. Not bad, nothing to write home about either.
For mains, we tried the Avocado Soft Shell Crab Burger and Teriyaki Angus Beef Supreme Burger. I'll have to admit I was a bit disappointed. The soft shell crab was a bit "fishy" - not what I expected since they just replenished their stock, while the beef burger tasted like salisbury steak TV dinner meat - no joke! Is their supplier Swansons?
All in all, Black Bear was passable, but not memorable.
