  • I had to get an "office exchange" gift from a list of items presented. One of them was Sumatran Coffee, whole beans. i was thinking I'm not going to find this in the aisle at Albertsons so I turned to Yelp - YEAH. The 1st place that popped up was Desert Wind. I drove up and entrance is a bit hard to find, BUT they put a signboard that said - Fresh Coffee so I knew where to turn in! It's in a very non-descript parking lot. What a little GEM of a place. Besides the wonderful aroma, there were conversation areas with large comfy couches, tables for 2 or 4 and single lounge chairs for those just wanting to sit for a bit. It only took about 2 minutes to get waited on - and even though I explained to the really nice barista what I wanted, he did try to sell me a pound of coffee from the Congo which it turns out, he didn't actually have. I plan to go back after the Hollydaze to grab some fresh roasted and ground coffee for home. Fat Friendly: yes Armless Chairs: yes this place gets the BBW seal of approval.
