The theater itself is very cool. Nice bar when you walk in. Nice comfy chairs in the theater. Decent food that isn't ridiculously expensive.
This was my first time at Alamo and I was excited to check it out, especially because they were playing Sorcerer on the big screen, which I hadn't seen in a long time.
I was expecting a film projector. What they showed was obviously a low quality digital file. It was so blurry I was distracted the whole time. I could watch it in better quality at home on my TV. The night time scenes in the movie (which are supposed to feature some amazing cinematography) were so blurred out I couldn't even tell what was happening. Very disappointing.
I applaud the showing of these older classics, but not if they are going to look like VHS.
