Aqua-Tots is a great place to bring your little tater-tot (kid) to learn to swim. Every time you hear another child drowning on the news, you wonder IF ONLY that child knew how to swim to the edge of the pool to climb out....
A few things I really like about this location (I believe they also have lessons off-site too):
~*The pool is indoor (no need to slather on sunscreen and sit in the hot sun during the summer or wait to get used to the water during the Winter.)
~*There is a parent viewing area where you can watch your kids through the large glass with 3 rows of plastic (IKEA?) chairs. There is also a small play area for little kids. This place is very kid friendly. They also sell swimsuits too.
~*Pay a monthly fee for a weekly class, so you can fit the lesson into your schedule. Your child can keep taking lessons until they are ready and confident.
~*The ratio is small (child vs Instructor)...I believe it is 4 munchkins per Swimming Instructor.
~*Friendly, helpful, and professional staff.
Even when there are 3 classes going on at the same time, it isn't crazy and crowded like it can be at the YMCA or Aqua-Lessons thru the city. Plenty of parking too.
