in the past, i have been known to announce "i hate gammage" after multiple less-than-pleasant experiences there. However, I think I've finally figured out the secret. Sit in the Center. It really doesn't matter where you sit as far as front/back/orchestra/balcony or grand tier...the trick is that there's a huge difference in the audio quality between the middle and the sides. I've been to theater on + off Broadway, in L.A., Chicago and London...the productions themselves at Gammage convey the same sort of professionalism as at any other show, but I have consistently been disappointed in the sound from side-seats; the solution is to sit in the Middle.
