So unfortunately the sushi buffet on McKnight road closed, which was my favorite place ever. This is my first visit to Hokkaido and I'm so happy I went! I really wish this place was closer to me, but it was worth the hour drive to brace rush hour and get there for dinner.
I really went for the sushi, and sushi I ate! The selection is good, and as far as buffet sushi goes this is some of the best. I only wish their pieces were larger and thicker, but the taste was great! I'm very happy that they had nigiri, sashimi and rolls.
Do yourself a favor and have some crab legs! Usually I'm shocked at people eating mountains of crab legs at a buffet because in my experience they are always rather salty, not so fresh, and the shells are mush. Not so here! These crab legs were actually really good!!! The shell broke easily and the butter was even tasty, which to me is a must. I was there during dinner hours and there were quite a few people eating the crab legs which meant that they kept bringing out small batches so that they were always fresh and hot!
The beef wonton soup was delicious - so flavorful that salt wasn't necessary. As far as the other hot items go I didn't sample much - a few pork dumplings and cheese wontons but everything looked to be mediocre buffet standards.
Final say: if you're going for sushi or crab legs then you will feel like you definitely got your money's worth and then some! If you're planning on loading up on fried foods and standard Asian fare I'd recommend an actual restaurant where the taste will be better.
