rev:text	READ THIS BEFORE DOING BUSINESSES WITH BEST BUY. Last week I went in to two different locations to do their trade in program. Before going to the one off arroyo I went to the one on galleria to turn in an Xbox 360 and some games which was no issue and a Sony vaio tap all in one computer. I have called and spoke with a man named JAMES who said I didn't need to bring any boxes that the items came in because it wouldn't be an issue and I even estimated online prior to make sure they take back both items and they do. When at galleria the man said we don't take back desktops which I thought was weird because it's hard to consider this a desktop it's more like a giant tablet. I left anyway and called their customer service line. And the same man JAMES had INSISTED that they should've taken the computer back with no problem. I told him I was on the way to the location off the 215 and rainbow and he was positive no matter what the model was they will take it back, he even called a head for me. As I arrived before going to customer service I had someone grab me an Apple Watch that I was gonna purchase at the end of the trade in. When at customer service the girl working told me that Best Buy traded in this computer but not my model. As she and her manager tried to explain why to me it made no sense. What they were basically saying was we take back all models BUT yours. We bought the computer from them I have the box with the Best Buy sticker STILL on it and I even told the girl at the register that I wouldn't try and bring her some cheap janky low quality computer from another place. Which she didn't hesitate to respond "Well we actually take back computers from other stores". REALLLLYYY you'll take back all other computers, FROM other stores, but NOT my model, but other models of the computer I own, that I purchased with BEST BUY. THEY WILL ACTUALLY TRADE IN COMPUTERS FROM OTHER STORES,but not MINE. Unbelievable. I ultimately said forget it and STILL purchased the Watch because it wasn't about the money it's the PRINCIPLE and I don't know how much more clear I could have been that it wasn't about the money. I even apologized to the girl for getting a frustrated tone. But does this make any sense? When my mom called the store manager and explained our frustration, it was almost like he was talking down to us when actually his only response was "Well that's just how it works." Alright well we've been in contact with corporate and hopefully we can get somewhere. I don't want anything from them I just wanted them to honor their word. It was poor customer service that made us go forward with this. So before you buy from them ask about their "rules" for the trade in program or else you'll get let down like we were. When we told the manager that they should tell people prior, he said "Well that's not something we really wanna tell people". My mom just purchased a laptop at this location a week prior to this and were planning on bringing it back unopened just incase it has any issues with it in the future because clearly they can't provide real customers service to their customers. My friends and family are well aware of this incident and know better than to waste money here. Beware of Best Buy people!
