This was the second time I have been to a place like this. The first time I did not know what to expect and went with a friend who made the appointment for a full body massage. It was kind of weird because they actually get up on you and straddle you at one point and it was kind of a rough massage. I have restless leg syndrome and chondromalacia patella (basically that is knee pain) my legs were killing me. I stopped by Massage Envy first (hadn't been in a while). I told them that I only wanted a knee and leg massage. They told me it would be $80!! for a one hour massage unless I wanted to sign up for a membership. Needless to say, I left. Next stop....Thai Foot Massage. I was able to fill out some paperwork and tell them exactly what I wanted and did not want. So I opted for a one hour massage from the knees down. I was given a nice locker with a key to put my belongings in and then led into a huge room that had probably 15 low to the floor beds (was kinda weird, but ok I can go with it), dimly lit with beautiful chandeliers, and soothing music pumped into the room. I laid down and my eyes were covered with a towel. I put my feet in this kind of wicker bucket lined with plastic and they dumped heated water in it and let my feet soak. The girl came back about 5 mins. later and proceeded to give me the massage with lotion. She also massaged my feet in a way that hit several pressure points. I felt myself doze off and woke myself up a couple times as I snored a little.... Lol. The massage was completed as she dried my legs and popped my toes... Lol... Again, a little weird, but ok...still going with it. She tapped me to tell me we were done. When I got up, the lady giving someone a massage next to me smiled and I felt her and the lady who gave me my massage glance at each other... I thought to myself it was probably because I had snored... Hahaha. I will definitely go back. All this at the low price of $35!!
