  • Went here this morning to check out what LA Fitness did with the place and it really looks great! All machines are working, enough free weights to go around, didn't attend a group class but it looks like a nice area (it's now where the old circuit area was). BBall is in the same spot too and there were a bunch of guys just playing pickup. Where the women's only gym used to be they opened it all up and put in a TON of cardio equipment, and they still have a women's only area but it's where the old group classes used to be now. Pool's in the same spot but there are 2 now (one for lengths I guess). No waterslide but I never used it before anyway. The dry sauna was good - used to be a steam room - but really could be cranked up a touch. Really, not bad for what they had to work with -- although I would've liked to see the slide replaced with the hot tub that was in the original plan but I guess there were plumbing/routing issues that prevented it.. oh well..
