I had a good experience at Vic and Anthony's. It was my first time to downtown Vegas and I was expecting nothing but questionable but cheap buffets so this was a very nice upscale surprise.
I loved the atmosphere. The darker quieter steakhouse that gives you the sense that Don Corleone is sitting in a corner. And the only drinks you should have are either red wine or a dirty martini. My kind of place!
The service was fine. He was friendly and informative but I would have preferred a little more energy.
I ordered the 8oz filet and although it was good, I have to say I have had better at both Mastro's and N9NE. The perfect medium was just not as tender as I had hoped. The brussel sprouts were amazing! Probably the best I have ever had. However, the au gratin potatoes were strange. I guess I'm just used to them in layers but they were potato chunks in a very yellow cheese sauce. Almost tasted like velveeta. I would have probably gotten something different.
All in all a positive experience and I'm glad I tried it, but would probably try other steakhouses before coming back.
