I chose Dr. Goldansky for his proximity to my house but sometimes, it's worth it to drive. I've been searching for a new PCP since my beloved one at Banner, who I'd been seeing for 8 years, left private practice.
First visit with Dr. Goldansky was not the best (He suggested that the answer to my extra pounds was to "stop eating crap". That's a direct quote. He also talked so fast I could barely follow him. And I'm from New York.)
Most recently, I needed a maintenance medication refilled. It is a non-narcotic prescription of which I've been taking the precise same dosage for 17 years. I had an appointment scheduled for Friday, though the last of my pills would run out on Wednesday. I called the office on Tuesday to ask if the doctor would refill my prescription so I would not be without medication for two days. He refused. My appointment was TWO days away and he wouldn't refill the prescription because I had not seen him since my previous appointment 6 months prior. He could have easily called the pharmacy and provided me with two days worth of medication until I saw him but he made no concession. I've since found another provider and cancelled my appointment.
