When I first walked pass this place, I knew it would have been a great place for drinks. From the outside, you can see their giant canisters of beer and you can also see the interior of the restaurant.
My friend said that the food and drinks were pretty good here so we decided to have dinner here. My friend chose an IPA and I got red wine, 9oz for 17.00 which is pretty pricy but it's downtown. Drinks are expensive anywhere in Toronto.
For dinner, we got the fried chicken which came in three pieces, one slice of corn bread, corn slaw and three sauces. Curry, spicy and i think the other one was some kind of white dill sauce. We also got the kale salad to go with the chicken.
The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. It wasn't too greasy and it was amazing with the white sauce. The cornbread that came with the chicken- was pretty good too. I'm not a huge fan of cornbread because I think it's usually bland, dry and gross but this cornbread was amazing. The corn slaw was alright. Nothing too crazy.
The kale crouton salad was amazing. I loved every bit of it and loved the big pieces of smoked bacon.
I would definitely come back for drinks.
