  • The $27 AYCE is definitely the way to go here. If you can get a spot at the bar, do so. But it was so packed when we got there around 9pm, and we waited about 10 minutes to get a table. Not that 10 minutes is bad, but I don't think the sushi bar even started clearing out until well after 11 pm. The beers are pretty cheaply priced as well, at $3.50 per small bottle, and $5 for the large. They also have beers on tap that starts at $3.50 a pint. My cousin and I mostly stuck to the nigiris because we feel that is the way to best get your moneys worth in an AYCE setting. Let me just say that the BEST thing we ate that night was definitely the sea urchin, as it was fresh, clean, and tasted like the deep ocean. The second best thing we ate that night was the super white tuna, which just has some kind of indescribably amazing mouthfeel to it. The third best thing was definitely the yellowtail collar, which everyone raved about on here. It was tender, juicy, tasty, and simple tasting. The kind of thing that doesn't need a sauce to add flavor. We also got the pork belly, which was good, but I think I'm spoiled at home when we grill pork belly and I didn't think it was as good as we get it at home. But if you don't get to enjoy pork belly in similar fashion, by all means it's still delicious. My younger cousin definitely had it all out with everything fried on the menu. Calamari squid (which was super tender and not chewy at all), shrimp tempura, a bunch of shrimp tempura rolls, etc. She seemed to enjoy all the of them, and especially loved the lychee sorbet she got for dessert. We also got some cut rolls, my favorite of them being the Lemon roll (california roll wrapped in tuna and lemon slices). I don't know what it is about the flavor of lemon on fresh fish, but I guess I'm just a sucker for fresh citrus or something. We also got one of the soft-shell crab rolls (I forget which one), and it was huge and pretty tasty. Nothing as extraordinary as the other fresh fish stuff, but still pretty good. For the desserts, definitely get green tea creme brulee. It's a lot more custard that you would think. The tofu cheesecake was also delicious, but I think having the creme brulee first kind of overshadowed the cheesecake. The only trouble I really had with the whole experience is that we ordered so much and so fast (we were really hungry) that when the food started coming out we had no idea what we had left because no one kept track and the food was coming out in random order and time. Some came out right away, others came out at least 30 minutes after we ordered. The sushi bar was constantly bustling, and is actually really small for the amount of orders they probably receive. Next time, I'm definitely implementing a way to keep track of our orders, because I think we didn't get a 911 roll or something. Not that it mattered seeing as we were extremely satisfied and had the AYCE. But it's still something to keep in mind because you order everything verbally to the waiter, and ours didn't seem to have everything organized lol. That was okay, because he still made sure that all of our food was coming out--to the best of our memory, at least.
