Whenever a new brewery opens in or around Charlotte, I try to visit it at least once. This is one that will not get a second visit, especially with so many incredible breweries in the area that are worthy of repeated visits.
The entryway to the building is really cool, but things get less so upon entering. As some others have said, the place is a hodgepodge of different spaces and ideas, with some sitting areas walled off from the main bar area. Despite a lot going on when I went with my wife (a pop-up market), it still felt a bit empty.
I would give the bartenders five stars for their friendly and knowlegable service, which was a nice change of pace from some of the larger breweries in town who have more of an assembly line approach to their taprooms. The bartenders here could actually pour beers properly (no nozzle dunking here), which was also a nice change of pace.
The big trouble here is the beer itself. It is simply not very good. With so many good beer options in Charlotte, Three Spirits does not stand out in any way.
