| - I will not ever come here for gas again.
I am sorry, but the situation was not handled as best it could have been.
Here's the deal: October 7, 2013 (it's been a while because I was honestly still too upset to write an un-angry review) after work I stopped in to get some gas. This was at just after 5PM as I work in the 500 block (their address is 100).
I pulled up, sat in my car for a moment because I was on the phone (headset, don't worry!) with my sister. I got out, noticed one of the attendats leave the store and walk around to all the gas pumps, I didn't think any of it and filled my car up from the premium pump (Subaru car). I then started my car and it IMMEDIATELY started to stutter and smoke and it WOULD NOT MOVE. I stopped my car, then, tried again. Same thing.
I got off the phone with my sister, called my husband and told him the scenario and he immediately said to turn of the car and don't touch it again, he'd be right down. He called a tow truck on the way. At this time, I noticed the attendant had been putting something on each premium button on all the pumps. I went to look, it said "out of order" on ALL of them. I approached and asked about it, she said all she knew about it was her boss had called and told her to shut down all the premium pumps, so she did.
WHY DIDN'T SHE TELL ME BEFORE I FILLED MY CAR UP!?!? So, I was a little upset and asked her if she could find out why, because my car is dead and wont move and I JUST filled up with "premium". Her response was to tell me that she didn't know, her boss would be in at 5am. 5AM! I could feel the angry-asian clawing to get out. I asked her, again, to reach her boss and find out. She repeated her boss comes in at 5AM.
Me: So, you have NO way to reach your boss.
Attnd: No, sorry.
Me: I guess I will stand her until 5AM, since my car WONT MOVE.
*she went inside, I continued to approach EVERY SINGLE CAR that pulled into the parking lot next to a gas pump and I informed everyone the gas was bad and my car was now broke down, they could go somewhere else*
Low and behold, her manager just happened to have called and was on her way to the gas station. In the meantime, another patron, who had filled his gas tank THAT MORNING had issues with his car, called them at around 7am-ish to let them know, and was now at the gas station to provide his information/get contact information for claims from the manager.
While I was waiting at my car, the manager had arrived and began putting caution tape around the pumps and around my car. At no time did she approach me, introduce herself or otherwise acknowledge me in any way - not until another patron told me there was no gas and I corrected him and told him there was and it had left me stranded as my car was now broken. When he asked what happened, I began to respond and she immediately jumped in to say "we don't know what's wrong, we're shutting down until we know".
Let me just interject here to say - the guy who got gas in the morning called and told them there was deisel in the premium pumps. He told them he went to a shop and drained his car and had a sample of the gas. THEY SOLD GAS FOR NEARLY 12 HOURS MORE.
I would have been less upset had there been an immediate offer from the attendant to contact her manager, because I absolutely do NOT believe you have no way to contact a manager from your work should there be an emergent situation. I also would have been less upset had the manager actually come and introduce herself as the manager and speak to me about the situation instead of wrapping the pumps frist and not even saying anything until someone else who had not gotten gas, was trying to warn me about the situation and she jumped all over my answer.
Had this been handled differently, I might actually go back there. But honestly, I don't think I would even go in for a soda at this point.
