| - I was a guest to a Yelp Elite event at Barre3 today.
Located on the 2nd floor, Barre3 is quite clean and minimalistic. There is a large glass room where classes are held and a small change room at the back that has 1 shower, 1 change room stall, 2 washrooms and 9 small free lockers you can use to lock up valuables (purses/backpack). You leave your shoes and coats near the door/reception area.
You don't have to bring anything except a water bottle! All equipment like yoga mats, weights and exercise balls are provided. They also have towels, a water fountain to refill your water and toiletries such as shampoo/conditioner, hair spray, dry shampoo, deodorant spray, a hair dryer and even shaving razors! I really like these convenient amenities. :)
In terms of effectiveness, I usually exercise about 2 times a week at my regular gym doing cardio and weights but found this class to be quite a workout!! We only did simple low impact moves, but my arms and legs were a little wobbly after. Haha. Definitely worked up a sweat, I only wish our instructor added a few more core movements to our class.
To get an extra star from me, I would love if they added a cooler at reception area with some cucumber water! Also, I am not sure if the back change room is totally girls only but if it is, I suggest tinting the windows so more girls can change without worrying about people in the next door building looking in or having to wait for a private change room stall to be available.
