| - Delicious find! I heard great things about this chain so had to try it out and my oh my was it worth it. They've been opening up so many stores in the last year, I have a feeling they will be huge.
Located right in front of Place Des Arts, this store takes place of the old Aldo, it's quite spacious, with bar stool seating giving you a view of the street and it is accessible from the mall as well.
The red logo and flags at front are very visible with the words Chocolate but probably not enough people realise they serve ice cream. I'm surprised they don't have a sign at the entrance because I was there on a hot day at the Jazz Festival and there were no line ups.
Their specialty is a unique chocolate for fondue, that comes in a dozen different flavors, sold in cans for you to take home (largest size is 12.99$). There's an array of your regular chocolate, truffles and candy, along with ice cream (chocolate/vanilla) sorbet and fruit popsicles. Just recently they launched drinkable desserts in the form of milkshakes made with real chocolate. These have bright colors and flavors to match, like cotton candy, banana cake, lemon pie etc.
The star of the show is the soft serve ice cream cone dipped in your choice of chocolate. The texture was not what I was expecting. Instead of being brittle or thin like what you'd get at Dairy Queen, these toppings are fudgy and thick, they eventually get harder as they freeze.
I had a cookie and cream dip and it tasted exactly like a melted Hershey's Cookie N Cream bar. With 5 sizes of cones, you can get the "baby" format and sample more!
Super excited to go back, the concept is so simple, but I am positive you've never had a dip THIS good.
