DISCLOSURE: There can be a long wait so be sure that you are not starving.
I heard great things about this place and YAY, I finally got a chance to try it out. Came here on a Sunday morning and thank God the wait was only 30 minutes for 4 people. We were second in line and all the seats were taken. (We waited until we could all sit together)
I've heard that the line can get long and the wait can be over an hour.
Food:
Palace Pan Roast: Shrimp, Crab, Chicken and Andouille Sausage
Étouffée: Traditional Cajun Stew prepared with Shrimp, Crab and Lobster
Both dishes were delicious and made before your eyes.
Service:
Although they were accommodating, the cook/chef was a tad bit obnoxious or to me rude. I know he was joking around with the staff and other patrons but I personally did not like his responses and attitude. Lastly, I noticed that he only changed his gloves once while we sat there. He cut vegetables, opened oysters, washed the pots turning on the water etc. and bussing. Kind of gross but hey I guess it added flavor while he sprinkled garnishes on my Pan Roast.
Overall, I will still return to this establishment because the food is good.
