The Crooked Cue is a beautiful bar! On the second floor on Bloor St W, this newly renovated spot has a retractable roof making it a hot spot for the summer. I went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, and they had live music which was lovely and the roof open. It was a great atmosphere, and I don't know how but the roof opening/closing is completely SILENT.
I had the Souvlaki dinner, and sadly I was less than impressed. The souvlaki was terribly dry and no amount of tzatziki sauce could salvage them. The rice and Greek salad that came with it were fine, but I was disappointed. I can't say the same for the others in my party though - the salad with shrimp and avocado looked incredible and they even remove the shrimp tails! The ribs appetizer was enough for a meal. The spinach salad with salmon was massive and I was jealous of everyone else's meals...haha.
Pool was $20/hr and ping pong was $25/hr...no idea why ping pong would be more but I wouldn't play it anyway.
To sum up: great atmosphere and ambiance...just don't order the souvlaki :)
