| - Just went back last week. Friday the 13th. haha So darn good ...still the same or better than my last visit. We have many choices here in Las Vegas and this one is a true GEM.
Give Chada Thai & Wine a try, you won't be sorry. Make reservations!
ATMOSPHERE- 4 Stars
I have had Chada on my 'must try list' since I read about the opening of Chada Thai & Wine a couple years back. The back story said 'Bank' ran the best Riesling-based wine program in the country (at Vegas's Lotus of Siam), and has since created a sensational wine list at his new Thai restaurant, Chada, where he is both sommelier and chef. A 'quickie note' on Lotus of Siam, Food good, wait long, atmosphere packed like sardines, not so inviting. Flip to the opposite at Chada. Location also in a strip mall leaving entry 'uncertain'. But, once you open the door a sexy, warm, hip, clean atmosphere pulls you in like gravity. I had made 8:30 reservations and commented "guess they weren't needed" as I scoped out only a couple other tables occupied. (I ate those words along with the delicious food) In a blink of an eye this small, cozy spot filled to the brim.
The dark colors, dim lights, large center red chandelier and romantic vibe makes you want to linger and soak in this experience. Great Date Spot.
SERVICE-5 Stars: Spot on from start to finish. Total team work from the wait staff.
WINE-5 Star selection with by glass offerings top notch taste: mine- St. urbans-Hof Riesling Estate old Vines QbA, Mosel 2013 Riesling $8 and BF had- Oliverhill Shiraz Red Silk McLaren Vale, Australia 2012 Shiraz $8
FOOD-5 Stars- some of the best Thai ever--portions/ entree's a bit on small side.
POR PIA TOD (4) Fried vegetable egg roll $6 (we actually ordered a second round of these little beauties)
YUM NUA * Rib eye steak, onion, tomato, cucumber, cilantro, chili paste-lime dressing on bed of greens $12
TOFU SOUP Soft tofu, ( had them leave out the ground pork), Napa cabbage, green onion $7 served in large bowl and held 4 cup servings...yummm
PAD KEE MAO (Drunken Noodle) Flat rice noodles, hot chili, garlic and basil With Seabass $25 * so wonderful words won't do justice!
The Chef very accommodating - we ordered a plate of stir fried vegetables to please my 95% Vegan diet ..and a side of sticky rice. No hesitation in a not on menu item..also so good we ordered a second vegetable plate.
We had a second round of wine each and the total tab was $100.00
PRICE- 4 Stars- Nice to have lower than Strip prices for food that outshines many Strip choices.
I have now added this to my small FAVORITES list and can't wait to go back.
